Dave Buster Rescues

Dave Buster Rescue is an independent, 100% volunteer, orphaned newborn kitten rescue located in Yakima County, Washington. We specialize in neonatal kittens from birth to three weeks of age. We work with multiple agencies from Yakima County and surrounding areas, TNR groups, partner rescues, and privately owned orphaned neonates. We are a completely home-based rescue (we have no physical facility; surrenders must be scheduled ahead of time).

FAQ'S

 Common questions:

Can I adopt a kitten from you?

We do not adopt out kittens. We are an orphaned newborn kitten rescue only. If you see a newborn on our page that you would love to add to your family, please reach out and we can put you in contact with our rescue partner that we transferred them to. You will be able to follow that special kitten as they grow until they are able to be put up for adoption within that rescue.

Can you help me find supplies for my kittens?

Yes! Dave Buster is always willing to help with additional resources for TNR, bottle feeding, local reputable rescues and supplies.

Can you help me with trapping and spaying or neutering my cat?

Dave Buster Rescues does not do any TNR or spay and neutering of cats. However, we do partner with multiple rescues and TNR groups that do. We would be happy to put you in contact with these resources.

Where do our kittens go once they leave our nursey?

Dave Buster Rescues has multiple rescues that we partner with. Once our babies reach three weeks old, they are transported to one of these rescues. These rescues will foster and continue to work with these kittens until they are old enough to be vaccinated, spay/neutered and microchipped. That rescue will then put them up for adoption.

Facts about us:

  • We are an orphaned newborn kitten rescue only! We do not take newborn kittens away from a mother capable of caring for them.

  • Due to their specialized care and lack of a fully developed immune system our newborns are raised in incubators and do not go into foster homes.

  • Although we specialize in the care of orphaned newborn kittens, we are NOT vets and do NOT give medical advice.

  • Unfortunately, we do not have the funding to pay for medical needs or vet bills for personal pets.

Dave Buster Rescues believes in doing everything we can to help keep newborn kittens with their mothers and we can help you in the following ways:

  • Teach you how to supplemental feed kittens if you have a mother cat with a large litter.

  • Help you get the correct bottles, nipples, formula and other supplies needed to care for a mom and her newborn kittens.

  • Put you in contact with the resources to promptly spay/neuter your cats once the kittens are weaned to stop further suffering and over population.

  • Put you in contact with rescues that offer last litter programs.

  • Put you in contact with reputable, safe rescues that would be able to take in or help you find fosters for a mom with her babies.
